From La Spezia to Lucca we must drive throught the A12 Genova - Livorno
and take the A11 Firenze-Lucca, 1h driving. Along the way your Driver-Guide or
your Tour Assistant will give you general infos about the places you'll drive throught as Sarzana, Carrara, Santo Stefano Magra, white Marble Cave, Lago di Massaciuccoli .
In Lucca you'll have 2-3 h at your disposition to visit the city, we also suggest to have lunch there in one of the typical restaurants. At the end of the tour (on your own or with Guide or Tour Assistant) you'll meet again your driver and proceed toward Pisa .

By Car or minivan (1-8 pax) :
Following an ipotetic plan of the day:
Once arrived in Lucca , you ll get throught the ancient walls passing by one of the wonderfull gates . Porta Elisa. That Gate takes you in the Verdi Square where your driver will park and must be close to the vehicle according to the italian law about ( rental car with driver) and you ll proceed your tour on your own or with a Guide of Lucca if you hired this service. If you'll be on your own the driver will provide you maps and point you the hightlight worthy to visit: Piazzale Napoleone, Duomo di S.Martino, Chiesa di San Michele, Torre Giunigi ,Piazza Anfiteatro.
At the arranged time you' ll meet again your driver at the same place he left you to proceed toward Pisa.
To reach Pisa you'll drive along a road that goes throught Monte Pisano (15 km, 30 min).
The Land scape is wonderfull , once reaching the otherside of a tunnel , on your right you'll admire aa old cave where were was found ruins of an ancient Roman anphitheatre. Than you'll cross the town of San Giuliano Terme, (is famous for its thermal bath thanks to the natural hotsprings spread in the area). Finally you'll reaach Pisa .
You can enjoy Pisa for 1-2 h enought time to visit not only the Miracle Square but also the city centre with its nice roads under loggias that take till the Lungarni .
Once in Pisa you'll drive along the walls surrounding the city centre and the Miracle Square. Throught one of the Gate you'll reach the Miracle Square right at the feet of te Leaning tower. Before dropp you off your driver will contunue to give some infos and will point you the different monuments that are in the Square . Baptistery, Cathedral, Leaning Tower, Cemetery, Museum of the Cathedral. If will be possible the driver will take you to the ticket office in order to give you the possibility to visit the monuments inside. If you want to climb the leaning tower we suggest to book online http://www.opapisa.it/

By Minibus or Bus ( more than 8 passengers): For Sure you'll have the Tour Assistant with you and she already explaned about the city of Lucca and Pisa wile you were driving on board of the bus.The driver will pass by the Check Point area and than will drive you to the specific spot for the drop off and pick up of the groups. With the tour assistant you can have the orientation tour of the city. Please remind: if you like to have a deep guided tour of the city you must hire the Authorised guide of Lucca. If you do not hire tour assistant and/or guides, the bus driver will provide you maps and his phone number. At the same spot you'll find your bus driver at the end of the tour to proceed toward Pisa.
To reach Pisa you'll drive along a road that goes throught Monte Pisano (15 km , 30 min).
In Pisa we can just get to the Bus Parking area where we must pay the check point and you must reach the leaning tower by 2 ways :
1) a shuttle bus from the bus parking area to the Miracle Square .it cost a fee ticket
2) 10 minutes walking
Your assistant will take you any way you decide . Up to the time and the crowd. She will take you till the Miracle Square and she will point you the ticket office where to purchase the admissions in case you wish to visit the museums. She will give you a meeting point and time somewhere in the Miracle Square and with her you go back to the Bus.
Unfortunatelly we are at the end of the tour. You ll leave Pisa in time to catch your cruise in La Spezia Harbour.
