Cooking Classes organized in the Chianti area - Certaldo - San Gimignano
Your driver will come and pick you up at the hotel, villa, or residence hotel you’re staying and will accompany you in this experience. Cooking Classes can be held in Volterra, Greve in Chianti, Panzano in Chianti, Radda in Chianti, etc. As in many other places in Tuscany, there are agricultural farms, or just ordinary families in which the lady of the house organises cookery courses for foreigners. Everything takes place in a typical Tuscan stone country house with garden, patio and of course a big kitchen. The cooking class is often organised on a day in which the nearest town holds the weekly fruit, vegetable and local products market. Thanks to this coincidence of situations you will meet your teacher in the town and go together to the market to buy the ingredients for the lesson, so you can immediately experience Tuscany tradition among the fragrances and varieties of the products that distinguish us at a market where Tuscan housewives usually go for their daily shopping. After the first step, your driver will take you to the house in which the lesson takes place. Your teacher will explain, show and teach you to cook typical Tuscan dishes, starting from the bases like preparing meat sauce and homemade pasta to the more sophisticated recipes and the more famous sweets of our tradition. The guests will be provided with aprons, recipes in English and kitchen tools for everyone to do their bit, in addition to a good glass of red wine to be sipped while cooking. After the preparation, the well-deserved reward: lunch based on the dishes prepared by the guests, accompanied by good wine of the house.
Cookin classes can be done also for making pizza, from the work of the dowl, waiying for it to rise, dress with your favorite ingredients and finally let it cook in the wooden hoven.
